Excise Department Assam: Excise Department Assam has invited application from eligible candidates for filling up 36 Asstt. Chemist, Junior Assistant and Driver posts . Excise Department Assam post details

1. Asstt Chemist

Vacancy: 4 Nos

Salary: PB-2, Rs. 14000/- to Rs. 60500/- with Grade Pay- Rs. 6200/-

Educational Qualification: B. Sc. with Chemistry as one of the subject from recognized University.

2. Junior Assistant

Vacancy: 12 Nos

Salary: PB-2, Rs. 14000/- to Rs. 60500/- with Grade Pay- Rs. 6200/-

Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a Graduate in any stream from a recognized College/ Institutions affiliated to a recognized University and must possess Computer Skills from a recognized Institute for handling data and text on computer. 

3. Driver

Vacancy: 20 Nos 

Salary: PB-2, Rs. 14000/- to Rs. 60500/- with Grade Pay- Rs. 5200/-

Educational Qualification: a) Minimum Educational Qualification is HSLC passed or equivalent from a recognized Board.

b) Must have proficiency in Driving.

c) Must possess a valid four wheeler driving License (LMV) issued by Competent Authority.

Eligibility Criteria

a) Nationality :Candidates must be Indian Citizen, ordinarily resident of Assam.

b) Age: Candidate should not be more than 40 years and less than 18 years of age as on 1st January, 2020 (Candidate must be born on or before 01-01-2002 and on or after 01-01-1980).

Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable as under:

i) 5 (five) years in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST (P) & ST (H).

ii) 3 (three) years in case of candidates belonging to OBC/MOBC.

iii) 2 (two) years for Ex-Serviceman.

iv) 10 (ten) years in case of PwD candidates irrespective of castes.

For the purpose of determining the age limit, the SLPRB will accept only the date of birth recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent examination certificate/Admit card issued by a recognized education Board. No other document relating to age such as horoscope, affidavit, birth extract from Municipal Corporation, Health Department, service record etc. will be accepted.

Physical Fitness:- i) Candidates should be of sound health, both mentally and physically and free from organic defect bodily infirmity likely to interfere with efficient performance of his duties and ii) required to undergo medical examination before appointment to the service.
